Dear America,
Please stop confusing the issue. The issue isn't immigration, and you know it. Legal immigration is awesome, and you know it. The issue is the fact that you can't get your fat asses out of the chair to do your own housework, or yardwork, or construction. So yeah, living wage and all that, but god forbid you do it yourselves. Now, illegal immigration is a crime, hence the word illegal. Anyone here, not a citizen, without a visa or permit is a criminal. Meaning of the word, and all. Look it up. Violating the laws makes one a criminal. So, that's the fact. But the US, insistent in not giving up the industrial revolution wave of OMG cheap labor has, of course, off shored it. Except now, we import this offshoring, because of course, it's hard for someone in India (or Mexico) to trim my roses. So yeah, it's hard to get a living wage when someone who will probably work twice as hard at the same shitty job for two dollars a day and no bathroom breaks, Is it their fault? No, but it does point out that, in fact, Americans are lazy sons of bitches. So, this whole immigrant thing, we did this. We were stupid, and lazy, and greedy. Do I belive in amnesty? No, I do not. Crime is crime and should be punished. Did we embrace and encourage this crime? Yes, yes we did, We were stupid, lazy, and greedy. Yeah, you, right there. You in the blue shirt. We were all in it, whether we realized it or not. We built this (well, in fact, we underpaid others to build it) and we have to deal with it.
So, do I know the answer? No, sir, no I don't. But I have a feeling that this is all going in the wrong direction.
Thanks for listening,
Scott Lillibridge.
