File this under the 'Patch I would like to see' category
I currently use btdownloadcurses ( console based BitTorrent client ) to download stuff. One thing I would like to see is on-the-fly maximum upload rate adjustments. The thing is, I run this a lot. I keep the bt client open to share what I have, but when I am at work, I want to be able to get to my system, and if the maximum download rate is unlimted, I pretty much can't ( never get responses from my ssh requests ). But, when I go to bed or start a movie, I would like to be able to open up the uploads ( since I am not using them ) without breaking current connections. I guess I will just have to learn Python.

Another thing I am in love with currently:
Fullmetal Alchemist
Now, to defend myself from being seen as some leech stealing stuff off the net. This anime, and the one before (Gunslinger Girl) are not available in the US. These are fan subs put on the net for us gaijin. If these were avialible in the US, I would totally buy them.

In the news today, President George Bush flies to Baghdad for a 2.5 hour photo-op.

Things I am currently in love with:
BitTorrent Simply one of the coolest things around.
AnimeSuki Lists of fan-subtitled anime not licenced in america yet, and links to torrents to download them.
Gunslinger Girl Very cool anime. I have fan-subs of the first 5 episodes.

Looks like it's getting expensive to drive in Michigan.
New Fees Target Michigan Drivers
I guess now would be a bad time to point out that my Arizona Drivers Licence doesn't expire until 2037.

If you read slashdot, you must know that PBS put The Elegent Universe online. You can download it from them or use the torrents below and save them some bandwidth.

Apparently, the jRendezvous project has been renamed to JmDNS, and is hosted on SourceForge.

Apparently, I missed the meeting where it was decided we would abandon Bugzilla for issue tracking and simply verbally communicate all bugs.

Added a jRendezvous tarball to the code page. This tarball contains a patch that is talked about here [macdevcenter.com] regarding the server names of services. I have also tossed together a simple build.xml to build the package.
I know, no one cares, but poo on you.

Got the new battery for the laptop on Monday ( ordered it from Kahlon.com Friday morning ) and I am pretty happy with it. Gives about 2.5 hours of use. I tested by running ICQ, WinAmp streaming an icecast server from my house, and the distributed.net client, with all the powersaving stuff turned off. I will need to test more with a higher load, and more disk access. Plus, it's warrentied for a year.
Even with this, I am still thinking of selling because I would love to have a laptop with a 5 hour battery. Plus, they are just so dang cool.

I went to see 'The Matrix: Revolutions' tonight. It was a good movie, much better then 'Reloaded', but that is to be expected since it is in truth the end of that movie.
The one thing I find really interesting is, earlier today I picked two new books to read after finishing 'For Whom the Bell Tolls'. Those two books are 'East of Eden' and 'Paradise Lost'.

So, I am thinking of selling the Thinkpad and buying an iBook. Probably just one in the 500Mhz range off eBay. I keep reading about the wonderous world that is OSX and I feel all left out and uncool. I need to do what all the cool kids are doing.
The Thinkpad's specs are:
IBM Thinkpad 600X
PIII 650 Mhz processor
448 MB ram
12 GB hard drive
6 GB hard drive ( spare )
DVD-Rom drive ( with spare )
Xircom 10/100 PCMCIA ethernet adaptor
USRobotics 802.11b wireless adaptor
Linksys Network Everywhere 802.11b adaptor
AC Power adaptor
Some software( Windows 2k, WinDVD, Office )
Dead battery ( a new battery will run $100 or so on eBay, more from a reseller )
Excelent condition. Screen is nice and bright.
Anyone? Offers?
Zing! Update!
Looks like a battery for this will cost about $65 from an online store. Just checked Pricewatch, so I might buy one and at least have a decent battery. Still might be selling tho.
Zing! Update!

And the most important question regarding the upcoming 'Matrix: Revolutions' release is answered by Yahoo! news.
Is Italian hottie Monica Bellucci in this one?
Yes, but her one line is totally upstaged by what must be the world's hardest working Wonderbra.
